Our cottage is the pride of the hamlet in which it is located. This is also qualified as a remarkable heritage. We therefore had it certified by the Heritage Foundation and the work, including the thatch, was carried out by local craftsmen who are passionate about their profession.

Curiosity: the ridge is vegetated, that is to say made up of land planted with Iris and houseleeks. The renovation is complete and offers all the comforts of modern life: heating (heat pump), new equipped kitchen, new quality bedding, flat screen TV and stereo (record player also!).

Most of the furniture has been restored: farm table, sideboard, chest bench, sewing machine...etc. This cottage is a gem for those who appreciate historical heritage, it tells an authentic story.

Open the door of the Floranges'cottage and immerse yourself in a universe where the past and the present meet harmoniously. This characterful house, with its restored furniture and state-of-the-art equipment, offers you all the comfort necessary for a successful stay.

is possible to review a dream

Is possible to review a dream? We thought we had reserved a simple and romantic country house

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the stunning historical breton house faithfully restored, cozy, elegantly furnished and full equipped (full kitchen with both oven and microwave, espresso maker, American coffee maker etc. for instance ) We enjoyed the breton sunset in the garden, my doughter enjoyed the table soccer and my wife was seized by Sthandal syndrome listening breton vinyl records in this magic mansion. the location is also strategic to get to most important attractions in Morbihan.

At the last: The Host! Not only a kind and thoughtful host, Nathalie is an extraordinary person We will certainly come back even just to chat longer with her. Italian family, July 2024

Très belle chaumière.

Very beautiful thatched cottage, recently renovated, you will find peace and quiet there as it is well equipped for a whole family. It’s a very nice address that I recommend to everyone. Stay in July 2024.

Curiosity about our cottage: its green ridge with succulent flower plants

The thatched roof provides an inimitable character as well as a quality of insulation on a daily basis. With its thickness of 40 cm and its inertia 6 times greater than glass wool, it ensures comfort of life because it retains heat during winter and keeps cool in summer. It was made by a thatcher located in Baud in Morbihan, Jérôme Lucas, https://www.chaumier-morbihan.fr/ The houseleek's root system maintains the soil while the irises pump out the excess water. In popular belief, the houseleek was offered to men by Jupiter (Joubarbe = beard of Jupiter). This plant would divert lightning and fires from houses, which are the two punishments of Jupiter. This is why they were planted on the roofs of houses.
